Don’t Give Up On Your Resolution!
Now that it’s Day 3 of your New Year’s resolution to become more fit, less sedentary and healthier overall, how is that working for you?
Is your sofa talking seductively to you once again?
Have you already rationalized why you didn’t work out today?
Is that new exercise DVD still wrapped in plastic?
Are you slinking back into your old lazy habits?
It’s OK, we understand. And Jerry and Karen are here to help. On today’s show, they chat with a handful of personal trainers, fitness experts and exercise gurus – including Tera Littlejohn, Troy Ford and James O’Connor – who will offer their first-hand tips, insights and ideas to the rest of us doughy schlubs.
Also, we’ll chat in the studio with noted bead artist Stephan Wanger about “Bead Town Northwest Indiana,” coming to the former Crown Point Library this Sunday and to the Marshall J. Gardner Center for the Arts in Miller on Monday.
Bead Town NWI will be an integral component to the Methodist Hospitals foundation’s 2014 Mardi Gras extravaganza that will have all the pageantry and fun associated with the annual celebration – with a twist. Also featured for the first time in the region will be dozens of Wanger’s famous bead mosaics, including his Guinness World Record piece, which is on display at the Marshall J. Gardner Center.
Throughout the 40 days of Mardi Gras, the three galleries will be open to the public. At the same time, Wanger will be working with students and volunteers to create three mosaics depicting land- and street-scapes of Northwest Indiana.
