Daniel Lopez on role of Indiana’s growing Hispanic Community
Danny Lopez is Executive Director of the Indiana Commission on Hispanic and Latino Affairs. He was named to the post in 2010. Before that Lopez was legislative director for the city of Bloomington, Ind. for Mayor Mark Kruzan. Growing up in Florida, he came to Indiana, when his wife entered a graduate program. Just after Governor Mike Pence took office, Lopez was named special Assistant to the governor. We talked to him on Regionally Speaking with Steve Walsh January 23 13, about immigration reform, Indiana’s growing Hispanic community and whether the state has been welcoming to Latinos.
