Cutler says Marshall did not single out anyone
LAKE FOREST, Ill. (AP) — Chicago Bears quarterback Jay Cutler insists receiver Brandon Marshall did not single out him or anyone else during his outburst following the loss to the Miami Dolphins.
Cutler says Marshall “didn’t come near me” and did not “say my name.” He adds that the star receiver did not attack anyone personally with “what he was saying.”
Cutler’s comments Thursday came on the heels of a 27-14 loss at Soldier Field that raised all sorts of questions about the direction of the team.
Reporters standing in the hallway after the game overheard Marshall screaming in the locker room, part of an emotional post-game scene.
