Crown Point State Champs to Be Honored

January 13, 2014 – Crown Point High School will be presented with the Army National Guard national ranking trophy as part of the second annual MaxPreps Tour of Champions for Boys’ Soccer. Crown Point finished ranked No. 8 in the final MaxPreps Freeman rankings and is one of only 10 schools being honored in the second annual Boys’ Soccer tour presented by the Army National Guard. The presentation will be made before the boys’ basketball game on Friday January 17th.

Crown Point High School beat Avon 3-1 in overtime in the IHSAA Class 2A championship game. This is the team’s second state title in three years (2011). They finished the 2013 season with a record of 21-0-1. Crown Point is one of just 10 high schools nationwide being honored in the second annual boys’ soccer MaxPreps Tour of Champions presented by the Army National Guard. MaxPreps ranks more than 14,000 varsity high school boys’ soccer teams.
