Colts still trying to get running game off ground

INDIANAPOLIS (AP) — The Colts are still trying to get their running game off the ground.

Their top two running backs, Trent Richardson and Ahmad Bradshaw, have 23 carries for 53 yards. And in Saturday’s preseason loss to the Saints, the Colts’ leading rusher in the first half was Andrew Luck, who had two carries for 22 yards.

If Indianapolis is going to become the balanced offense coach Chuck Pagano wants, something has to change.

Luck says the ground game is progressing, though other players acknowledge the primary problem has been executing blocks.
