Chicago’s 911 Call Center Upgrades Complete

October 31, 2013 — Chicago officials say a renovation of the city’s 911 call center will improve service and make the whole operation cheaper to run.

The city’s Office of Emergency Management and Communications announced yesterday that the upgrades have been completed.  The renovation included installing new software and new radio and voice logging systems.
