November 4, 2013 (AP) – The Stanley Cup champions are heading to Washington to be honored at the White House.

The Chicago Blackhawks are set to meet President Barack Obama Monday afternoon, where he’ll honor his hometown hockey team for snagging the title in 2013.

It was the team’s second Stanley Cup win in four seasons.

The Blackhawks are set to start the day by visiting Walter Reed National Military Medical Center, where they’ll spend time with wounded soldiers and thank them for their service.

The Blackhawks beat the Boston Bruins in six games in June to secure their fifth NHL title in franchise history.
