On today’s Casual Fridays, Jerry and Karen Speak with Robert Ordway about the ALS ice bucket challenge. Ordway’s father, Doug Ordway, died of ALS in 2003 after a five-year grueling, unforgettable and ultimately futile battle. Robert, a high school teen at the time, was his primary caregiver.

Plus, Jerry and Karen discuss “gun tourism,” in the wake of a 9-year-old girl who killed a gun range instructor with an Uzi, and the REAL odds of winning the lottery.

Also, Jerry plays some of his voice mails in a segments called “Are YOU calling ME?!” – it’s a montage sampling of voice mails that Jerry receives from Lakeshore listeners, Post-Tribune readers and social media followers. It’s always entertaining and sometimes disturbing. You can judge for yourself.
