Canterbury Summer Theatre to Produce “Swinging on a Star”
Canterbury Summer Theatre at the Mainstreet Theatre in Michigan City presents the charming and nostalgic musical, Swinging on a Star, a delightful revue that features the music of Johnny Burke. Performances are Wednesday, July 24 through Saturday, August 3. It is the fourth show of season presented by the professional resident company under the sponsorship of the Festival Players Guild.
The Canterbury cast of the musical includes Joseph Redd, Colin Rothbart, Colin Funk, Jasey Gilbert, Addie Wilson, Danae Ervin, and Leah Mazur in a number of roles throughout the various scenes.
Chelsea Hockaday will direct the production. Mark Wurzelbacher is Music Director. Choreographer is Danae Ervin. Scenic design is by Leah Mazur. Costume design is by Chelsea Hockaday and lighting design is by Steven Vic. Cassie Juell will stage manage.
Tickets for the show are $14.00 on Wednesday and Thursday, $15.00 on Friday and Saturday. Senior Citizen, group and student discounts are available.
