(AP) — It’s been a real ride for fans of the Minnesota Wild this season. After a start of 7-3-0 to the season they have lost three straight by a combined score of 11-2. Tonight the Wild are in New Jersey to face the Devils in the first of two games this season.

The second and final meeting of the season between the Islanders and Avalanche is this evening in New York. The Avs won the first game 5-0 but since then are 1-3-1. This is the second of four road games for Colorado, which lost to the Flyers last Saturday with a 4-3 loss. The Islanders are coming off a five-game road trip in which they won the last three games.

The last time the Penguins and Rangers met was in the Eastern Conference playoffs last spring. Tonight’s game is the first of five encounters this season. They face off again in four days in Pittsburgh.

After having lost five straight the Capitals have won their last two games. This evening they are playing host to Columbus, which hasn’t won in about three weeks.

Tampa Bay has been having its way with the Chicago Blackhawks. The Lightning haven’t lost a game to the Blackhawks since 2009-2010, going 4-0-1. Tonight they are playing in the Second City.

The rest of tonight’s schedule has Winnipeg playing at Montreal, the Panthers home to the Sharks, Buffalo at St. Louis, Edmonton at Nashville, the Coyotes at home to the Stars and Ottawa at Vancouver.
