Bulls looking for answers for defensive woes
CHICAGO (AP) — Bulls coach Tom Thibodeau is dismissing any talk about trust issues when it comes to Chicago’s defensive problems.
The Bulls have been known for their defense and rebounding since Thibodeau took over in June 2010, but they are off to a slow start in those areas this year. Heading into Wednesday night’s game against Brooklyn, Chicago was allowing 100.5 points per game and ranked in the middle of the NBA in a couple rebounding categories.
Joakim Noah and Taj Gibson have said some of the defensive woes can be attributed to trust issues involving Chicago’s new players. But Thibodeau says the talk about trust is “garbage” and a “cop-out.” He says “Where you get trust is from the work.”
