Breaking News For Fine Diners!
On today’s show, we take you on a guided tour of the Museum of Broadcast Communications in Chicago, a wonderfully entertaining time capsule to our youth and the earlier days of historic and contemporary radio and television shows.
We visited the museum last weekend. Jerry posted photos from our visit and we’ve received hundreds of comments on them from region residents who also grew up with those TV and radio shows, from TV talk shows to radio legends.
We’ll also talk with Michelle Duca, founder of the Kibble Kitchen Pet Pantry, established to assist pet owners facing financial hardship. The Pantry is using its new Hobart storefront to sell various pet-themed items such as clothing, jewelry and home decor, all themed around the family pet. We’ll tell Lakeshore listeners how YOU can help the cause or benefit from the pantry.
And later in the show, we’ll announce exciting expansion plans taking place in Porter County involving the long-closed Marina Shores restaurant in Portage, on U.S. 12. A new eatery called Latitudes is opening at that beautiful location and we’ll talk with its owner, her plans, and the restaurant’s start date.
All that plus we’ll touch on the newest lawsuit filed against the NFL, our region’s fast food addiction – Jerry is the poster child – and professional baseball is back in Northwest Indiana with the RailCats. We’ll tell you what to look for. If you have a comment or question for our guests, call in at 769-9577.
