Body Identified As Missing Michigan City Woman

Human remains found May 3rd along the LaPorte-Porter County Line have been positively identified as those of Candi Brown, who went missing from a Michigan City bar on August 7th, 2012.

Michigan City Police Chief Mark Swistek said on Friday that a DNA match positively identified the remains.  The 29-year old Brown was reported missing by her husband, David Morris.  She was last seen between Central Avenue Beach and Mount Baldy in the Indiana Dunes National Lakeshore, not far from where her body was found.

Chief Swistek said the investigation is continuing and anyone with information is asked to call Corporal Jason Holoway at (219) 874-3221 ext. 346.
