BNI Marching Warriors Pick Up Two Awards
October 23, 2014 — The Bishop Noll Institute Marching Warriors earned two awards in 3 weeks.
The band won a 2nd place silver trophy in their division for their marching field show at the state ISSMA band competition which took place at Crown Point High school on October 4th. This was the first competition for the band since the early 1990’s.
On October 13th the Warriors marched in the 62nd annual Chicago Columbus Day parade in downtown Chicago. The band was named the ESPRIT DE CORPS award recipient – an award for the band showing the most spirit and pride in musicianship in the parade. “I am proud of my kids and proud to represent the blue and gold everywhere we go” commented band director Rocco Carioto.
