Blackhawks Take Series Lead Following Commanding 4-1 Victory

The Chicago Blackhawks took a 1-0 series lead, following their Wednesday night victory over the Detroit Red Wings, 4-1. The Blackhawks got on the board first, as Marian Hossa scored on the power play. But, moments later, the Red Wings were able to tie it as Damien Brunner got a shot passed Corey Crawford, in the 1st period.

After a scoreless 2nd, the Blackhawks were able to capitalize in the 3rd, with 3 goals, from Johnny Oduya, Marcus Kruger, and Patrick Sharp.

The Blackhawks host the Detroit Red Wins on Saturday, at noon, in game 2 of their best-of-seven series.
