Blackhawks Take 2-0 Series Lead Over Kings
Los Angeles goalie Jonathan Quick entered the NHL Western Conference Final series with a hot hand, but the Blackhawks got by Quick in game one, and then rattled him in game two of the best-of-seven series. After jumping out to a 2-0 lead in the first period Sunday night at Chicago’s United Center, the Hawks continued to pour it on in with a pair of goals just two minutes apart in the second period – that sent Quick to the bench. Andrew Shaw, Brent Seabrook, Bryan Bickell and Michael Handzus each scored for the Blackhawks in the win. The victory gives the Hawks a 2-0 series lead over the defending Stanley Cup champions. Game three will take place Tuesday night at 8pm, at the Staples Center in Los Angeles.
