Blackhawks In Position To Slam Door On Wild

After amassing the best record in the NHL during the regular season, the Chicago Blackhawks are moving quickly through their playoff competition. Their 3-0 road win Tuesday night over the Minnesota Wild in game 4 of their Western Conference Quarterfinal series gives them a 3-1 lead in the best-of-seven series.

Blackhawks defenseman Duncan Keith, whose wife gave birth to the couple’s first child, a son, earlier that morning, gave a standout performance on the ice to help lead the Hawks to the shutout – the second playoff shutout of goalie Corey Crawford’s career. Patrick Sharp scored twice to lead the Hawks’ offensive charge, with Bryan Bickell adding a further cushion for Chicago.

The series now heads back to Chicago for Thursday’s game 5 at the United Center, at 8:30. A Blackhawks win would give Chicago the series win.
