LAKE FOREST, Ill. (AP) — Chicago Bears coach Marc Trestman says star receiver Brandon Marshall is out of the hospital after suffering two broken ribs and a lung injury last week.

Marshall was hurt in the second quarter of Thursday’s 41-28 loss to the Dallas Cowboys. He was hit in the right side by the knee of Dallas defensive back Barry Church after making a catch.

Trestman acknowledged Monday that Marshall will likely miss the remainder of the season, ending a string of seven straight 1,000-yard seasons. He has 61 catches for 721 yards.

Trestman said Marshall has not been placed on injured reserve because the Bears are working through some “roster situations” that will be sorted out soon.
