Average retail gas prices in Gary down slightly this week

GARY – Average retail gasoline prices in Gary have fallen just under one cent per gallon in the past week, averaging $2.09/g yesterday, according to GasBuddy’s daily survey of 314 gas outlets in Gary. This compares with the national average that has fallen just under two cents per gallon in the last week to $2.21/g, according to gasoline price website GasBuddy.com.
Including the change in gas prices in Gary during the past week, prices yesterday were just over 13 cents per gallon lower than the same day one year ago and are just over 2 cents per gallon lower than a month ago.
The national average has increased just over cent per gallon during the last month and stands just over a cent per gallon higher than this day one year ago.
According to GasBuddy historical data, gasoline prices on October 24 in Gary have ranged widely over the last five years: $2.22/g in 2015, $3.01/g in 2014, $3.29/g in 2013, $3.38/g in 2012 and $3.30/g in 2011.
