Autopsy Confirms Lake Charles Victim As Missing Doctor
April 9, 2014 — Indiana State Police and Porter County Coronor — Porter County Coronor Chuck Harris says a body found in Lake Charles last weekend is indeed that of a missing Kalamazoo, Michigan doctor.
Indiana State Police lab fingerprint comparisons and autopsy results confirmed the identity of the body as that of 30-year-old Dr. Teleka Patrick. Harris says further tests may be able to determine the cause of Patrick’s death… but for now, it’s being considered death from drowning.
She was reported missing December 6 when she failed to report to work at a Kalamazoo medical center. A state Trooper found her car along I-94 in Porter and nearby Lake Charles was searched in January. A fisherman spotted a body in the lake on Sunday.
Teleka’s family posted on the Find Teleka Facebook page on April 6 that they were informed the body may be their daughter.
