Arrested Irsay expresses thanks on Twitter
INDIANAPOLIS (AP) — Indianapolis Colts owner Jim Irsay is thanking his family and fans for their support on Twitter.
Irsay sent a tweet about 4 p.m. Monday, following his release on bond from the Hamilton County Jail. It says, “Deepest thx to family, friends, fans, colleagues for the messages of support, thoughts and prayers. Impossible to tell u how much this means.”
Irsay was released from jail after being held overnight following a traffic stop in which police said they found multiple prescription drugs inside his vehicle.
Carmel police Lt. Joe Bickel says police have prepared probable cause documents and sent them to prosecutors. Chief Deputy Prosecutor Andre Miksha says no decision has yet been made whether to charge Irsay. He says those documents won’t be released unless Irsay is formally charged.
