One of the youngest partners in firm history, Kevin Sliwa, began his insurance career as an Employee

Benefits Consultant at MJ Insurance. Kevin quickly grew to become one of the agency’s top performers, becoming a partner at age 30, and a trusted leader on the employee benefits team. He was also named a National Power Broker in 2012 by Risk & Insurance magazine, and was named to their 40 Under 40 Class.

Kevin specializes in maximizing employee benefits to support an organization’s strategy, managing costs and risk, enhancing employee recruitment, increasing employee retention and satisfaction, and improving communication and perception of benefits to employees. Kevin has extensive experience in the development and implementation of employer sponsored onsite clinics and progressive wellness programs, as well as plan design analysis, benefits technology and consumer driven health plans. Kevin and his team help to identify underlying cost drivers affecting their clients’ benefits plans and work to develop effective solutions customized to fit their needs.

Kevin’s core passion is serving, with the purpose of helping his family and peers pursue their dreams by creating opportunities that energize, inspire, and motivate them do so. When he is not working, he enjoys spending time with his family, serving in his not-for-profit (Food 4 Souls), and skiing in the Rockies. Kevin currently resides in Fishers, IN with his wife and 3 daughters.

 

Matt Glaros

Chief Strategy Officer – Benefits Producer, Meyers Glaros Group

If you are active in Northwest Indiana, chances are you’ve seen Matt lecturing about healthcare reform at a community or corporate seminar. He is recognized throughout our region as one of our rising business stars and community leaders. Matt began his career as a financial analyst with a Denver-based hedge fund organization upon graduating with a degree in finance and economics from the University of Denver. In 2007, he returned to Northwest Indiana to help run Employer Benefit Systems (EBS), his Dyer, Ind.-based family business and provider of employee benefits services. He has worked in every aspect of the business, from claims resolution to self-funded plan analysis. In 2014, when EBS joined forces with HIA Insurance to form Meyers Glaros Group, Matt became the Chief Strategy Officer in charge of building the company’s presence and growing the business. Meyers Glaros Group is more than an insurance agency. With more than 100 years of industry knowledge and tradition that is put to work every day. They provide employee benefits, commercial insurance and personal insurance throughout Northwest Indiana and beyond. Their offices are located in both Schererville and Valparaiso.

Matt has received many awards throughout his career including being named to the “Top 20 Under 40” list of young professionals in Northwest Indiana. Nationally, Matt was recognized by Employee Benefit Advisor magazine as one of the “Rising Stars” under the Age of 35 in benefit consulting. Matt has numerous speaking engagements listed on his resume which includes Chamber of Commerce speeches, Panel Discussions on Reform and also speaking at The University of Michigan Ross School of Business regarding effects of HCR. He has helped spearhead a number of young professional leadership organizations that are bringing together tomorrow’s leaders today to help make Northwest Indiana a better place to live. In addition, he sits on the Broker Advisory Committee for Anthem Blue Cross Blue Shield. Matt also serves on several boards, including the Valparaiso YMCA, Legacy Foundation and Campagna Academy. Matt lives in Valparaiso with his wife Kelly and three children. He is an avid golfer and enjoys skiing and running.
