An IU Rock Historian Recalls The Day In 1987 When Lou Reed Came To Class

One Day in 1987, IU Professor Glenn Gass got a call from a friend in John Mellencamp’s band, saying they were playing at an unannounced gig at a local club. The special guest would be Lou Reed. After the artist died earlier in the week, Gass, who teaches the history of rock and popular music at Indiana University, talks to Regionally Speaking Host Steve Walsh about the day Lou Reed came to his class in Bloomington.
