American Track League debuts in Indiana on Friday
(AP) — Agent Paul Doyle is launching the American Track League on Friday in Bloomington, Indiana, the first of eight races to be held throughout the summer.
There will be a house band blaring music at all the meets and a dance team to keep the fans entertained. Of course, some well-known Olympic athletes will be taking the track, too. Hurdler Lolo Jones will be in Bloomington and Jamaican sprinter Usain Bolt may — heavy emphasis on may — potentially run on the circuit in August.
Five locations have already been picked to hold the meets and three more will be held at sites yet to be determined.
They’re designed to be quick, too, with only a handful of events at each venue.
