Air Force One to Land in Gary

October 1, 2014 — The country’s top leader will travel to the Steel City’s aiport today.

“The Gary/Chicago International Airport is pleased to welcome President Barack Obama as he visits the Chicagoland region,” says Emily Tapia-Lopez, vice president of Resolute Consulting in a statement from the airport. “The airport’s proximity to Chicago, access to a robust transportation network, and efficient services in and around the airport make the Gary/Chicago International Airport a premiere option for the President’s travel needs.”

On Tuesday, White House officials confirmed in a release that  President Barak Obama will travel to Chicago, Ill. to attend a campaign event for Illinois Governor Pat Quinn and deliver remarks on the economy at Northwestern University in Evanston, Illinois before returning to Washington.
