Aetna Risk Of Fire
July 3, 2014
We are debuting a new piece from our series on redeveloping Gary’s Aetna Neighborhood. “Aetna: Risk of Fire” looks at the proliferation of burned out buildings in the neighborhood. There are some surprising reasons why you can drive for block after block and see burned out homes.
After that, we dive into Host Steve Walsh’s reporter’s notebook with two key interviews that were part of the piece. We’ll talk to an 18 year veteran of Gary’s demolition department about what he calls an investigation of abandoned housing.
We’ll also to a fire inspector from Dayton Ohio. That city has a chronic problem with Arson, which has helped made it’s fire investigators some of the best in the nation.
