Adopted Parents Sue Over Promised Fee

The final figures are in for last month’s election and the numbers are low – really low. Host Steve Walsh  talks to Secretary of State Connie Lawson about ways to boost voter turnout.

A LaPorte grandparent is suing the over a state adoption fee that was promised about the same time the Department of Child Services began reverting millions back to the state budget.

Indiana is about to lose federal money because it is one of the state’s that decided not to follow federal guidelines to prevent rape in its prisons and detention centers.

And, $71.4 million is coming in to improve railway access in Northwest Indiana. It should cut the trip time from Chicago to Detroit but what is the future of passenger rail?
