A True Vietnam DJ

Share Tweet Email

On this edition of Regionally Speaking: Friday, we opened a time capsule.  Northwest Indiana native, Air Force Sgt. Don Taylor was a radio DJ in Vietnam during the war, from 1969 to 1970.  This is his version of “Good Morning Vietnam” and it’s amazing.  Sgt. Taylor restored his decades-old recordings of his radio show, “The Music Machine”, and we listen to parts of the program while Don tells his story.

Plus, retired IUN Professor, Dr. Kenneth Schoon has written his latest book, “Dreams of Duneland”, and is in the studio to tell us what he found beneath the sands of NWI.

Of course, don’t forget about your Rotten Tomatoes Movie Review!  Tavis Buchan speaks with Matt Atchity about high profile directors like Spike Lee turning to fans for the funding of his next film.
