A Change Coming Soon To The Voice Of NPR

October 22, 2013 — NPR is making changes in how they produce and announce national corporate sponsorship messages on-air and across its digital platforms.  NPR officials will introduce the first official Staff Announcer at noon E.T. Wednesday.  But this means the “Frank Tavares era” will soon come to an end.

Frank’s voice has been considered by many as the “Voice of NPR,” and the Lakeshore’s Chris Nolte had the opportunity to talk with him recently about his career, and what he’ll be doing after NPR.  He begins the conversation talking about his latest project outside of his duties with NPR.
