School Closing Plan Moves Forward

Gary plans to vote on a plan to close a fourth of its remaining 16 schools. The plan will set off a wave of teacher retirements. Host Steve Walsh talks to the head of the teachers union.

Indiana’s plan to collect detailed data on students has some people nervous. It’s designed to help schools better prepare for students, as they move into college. An IU Law professor has some concerns about whether the information will remain private.

We dive more deeply into college affordability with a local consultant who coaches students on how to get into the best college.
